What We Do
We offer several types of affordable pet care services including day care, one-to-one walks and small group walks in the countryside. Please see below our three main services and click on the ‘read more’ buttons for further information of each…
Doggy Day Care
The day care fun begins each day at 7:30am and ends at 6:00pm, we offer half day and full day sessions. There are two indoor and two outdoor arenas and the dogs are supervised at all times and never left alone. The daycare is great for dogs to socialise with other dogs. You just use the daycare if and when you need it you do not have to book in on a regular basis.
Dog Walking
We will pick up and drop off your pet in the company van designed for the safe and secure transportation of your dog(s). The vehicle has full comprehensive insurance. Your dog will receive a fantastic hour’s walk (the hour does not including transport time). The majority of the walks will be carried out in the country. The location of the walks will vary to provide variety for your dog.
Pet Sitting
Our pet sitting service means that rather than take your cat to a cattery or dogs to the kennels for the day we can visit your pet in their own home. This is most suitable if your dog or cat is injured, not feeling well or for cats who hate leaving their own territory. We can attend and feed them, administer medication, let the dog out into the garden for the toilet or anything required.

Paws at West Struther in Strathaven is a dog walking and pet sitting service intended to provide your animals with a high level of care when you are not there and you with peace of mind whether you are at work or just out for the day. All our staff is covered with public liability insurance and Disclosure Scotland checked.
Belles and Beaus
We also have a groom room within the daycare called Belles and Beaus’s ran by Allison Bell. Fully qualified, fully insured and a member of The Groomers Spotlight. Offering a 1-1 grooming environment with a professional level of care to a high standard.

Hello, My name is Una
In June 2016 I chose to retire, having worked for 30 years in the public sector. I decided to start up Paws at West Struther, with the aim of providing a local friendly, reliable and professional dog walking and pet sitting service.
Paws at West Struther has enabled me to fulfil an ambition for a role that was based outdoors and involved working with animals. Now my working days are spent walking for miles and getting to know a variety of new four legged friends.
